Deer management
Our deer managers are all qualified by the Deer Management Qualifications system, a nationally recognised qualification in the management of deer.
We can only manage deer populations at specific times of year without a specific license, but based on your need we can apply for licenses to deal with issues that you may be having.
Britain has 6 Native species of deer; Roe, Fallow, Sika, Red, Chinese Water Deer and Muntjac, each bringing their individual nuances to the way they behave and the way they must be managed. We can carry out an assessment of the species present and determine the best course of action.
All six species have unique characteristics and habitats and all one thing in common, they graze heavily. The crop destruction caused by a herd of fallow can be immense causing farmers to lose thousands of pounds in revenue.
Some of the other damage deer cause is in woodland areas where they rub their antlers against the bark of the trees “fraying” and causing the ultimate destruction of the tree.
